F.P Gaunt & Sons Ltd are please to announce we raised £620.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support on our first ever Macmillan Coffee morning. We would like to thank the local community who attended and a special thanks to the traders of Blackheath for their kind donations and raffle prizes. Traders included:
Eyeland Opticians, Eye Society, The Card Factory, J&A Memorials, Pizza Hut, Premier Clothing, Neil's Barber Shop, Miss Ann Florist, Grewalls Newsagents, Warrens Hall Riding Stables, Salvation Army Shop, Hodgkiss Jewellers.

F.P Gaunt & Sons Ltd are pleased to announce the date of our annual Christmas Remembrance Service. This year it will be held at Central Methodist Church, High Street, Blackheath on Saturday 10th December 2016 at 3.00pm. Tickets are available free of charge by calling 0121 559 1062. Each year we choose a local charity close to the hearts of all at F.P Gaunt & Sons Ltd, this years chosen charity is Edwards Trust

On Saturday 29th November 2016 our Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Peter Gaunt visited Aberfan to remember and pay his respect to all those who lost their lives to the disaster there 50 years ago, where he volunteered as an embalmer over two days to help care for the fatalities. He described his trip as a very moving and emotional return visit.

The Directors and Staff at F.P Gaunt & Sons Ltd would like to thank everyone who attended our Christmas Remembrance Service at Central Methodist Church Blackheath on Saturday 5th December. Grateful thanks to Reverend Dr Joseph Suray, Reverend Steve Walters, Reverend Mick Ganner, Civil Celebrant Jan Holden and Reverend Ken Hipkiss for their part in officiating the service. In 2008 we launched our Christmas Memory Tree, we invite our families to place a star in memory of their loved one. In past years we have raised money for local children charities including Russell’s Hall Neo-Natal Unit, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Hospice at Home. This year our chosen charity was Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia and Ambers Fundraising, we raised over £600! 16 year old Amber has been wheelchair bound for 3 years. She has now been invited to join the G.B Paralympic Skiing Team hoping for a place in the winter Olympics.

F.P Gaunt & Sons Ltd are pleased to announce we are participating in the collection of unwanted spectacles/glasses on behalf of Rotary International. The glasses are graded and then sent to third world countries for distribution to the poorly sighted. Please, if you do have any unwanted glasses, whatever their condition, we will be grateful to receive them at Percival House Funeral Home, High Street, Blackheath, B65 0EE. Helping people to have an improved vision and quality of life.
